I just rewatched the first episode in Clone Wars to feature Mortis. The narrator says that a Jedi distress signal was used, but it hasn't been used since 2000 years earlier. It got me wondering how the Mortis gods got this code and why they needed the Jedi back then. Also, which Jedi responded to the signal.
I tried to find some answers on my own, but had no luck.
Does anybody know what happened 2000 years ago and why the Mortis gods needed the Jedi then?
